Dust off your treasures and bring them to the first annual Antique Appraisal Fair on March 20th! Click here for more information.

With antique shows in the air, now is the time for antique collectors to view their insurance coverage.

If you have homeowners insurance, there is coverage for your personal property, but this is limited. If you have a large collection of antique art, furniture or jewelry, you may need to add a scheduled personal property endorsement to your policy. This allows you to buy extra coverage for those items, by listing them individually for their appraised value.

Tips to protect and insure your antiques:

  1. Get your antiques appraised by a qualified professional appraiser.
  2. Take a full inventory and carefully document all the items in your collection.
    • Take pictures of videos and have a complete written description of each item.
    • Be sure to keep your inventory updated and This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it as you acquire new items.
