United Way of Dane County announced it raised $16,475,000 to improve the community through the Agenda for Change.  This means they will be able to help many worthy organizations throughout our community over the next year.

Neckerman Insurance Services is proud to be recognized for the following:

  • #1 in Dane County in Largest Percent Increase in Employee Giving for all businesses of up to a 25 employee base organization.
  • #5 in Dane County in Largest Dollar Increase in Employee Giving for all businesses of up to a 25 employee based organization.

We would like to give a special thank you to one of our agents, Dale Kalscheur, who coordinated our campaign this year.  His hard work truly paid off.  Thank you, Dale!

United Way helps the community by assuring academic education, allowing seniors and those with disabilities to stay in their homes, helping treat people with health issues, finding housing for the homeless and much more.

Just a few reasons to support United Way:

  • Only 41 percent of the County's affordable housing need is met, leaving 12,800 units still needed.
  • There are 51,000 persons with disabilities of all ages in Dane County
  • 42 percent of children do not have age-appropriate skills when they start school
  • In 2002 there were 334 victims of child abuse/neglect

We would also like to thank the 178,000 volunteers, the 38,000 individual and 1,100 corporate donators.  Thank you to everyone who made this year’s goal a reality.
