| Tony’s entire working career has been in the insurance business. Following in his father’s and grandfathers’ footsteps, Tony has been an independent insurance agent for twenty-five years. After graduating from the Risk Management & Insurance department at the Univeristy of Wisconsin – Madison in 1982, he was hired by the General Casualty Insurance Company in Madison. Tony went on to handle large collision and liability claims as an insurance adjuster for General Casualty’s Milwaukee office.
In 1985, he joined his father’s insurance agency, The Ellis-Arneson Company, in Madison, Wisconsin. He ran the office until 1992 when the company merged with The Neckerman Agency, one of Madison’s most respected agencies. In 2001, following his father’s retirement and the retirement of the other agency principals, he and his current partners took over ownership of The Neckerman Agency. Tony was a national caliber competitive swimmer in college and earned a letter from the University of Wisconsin each of his four years. He recently was on the board of directors of the National W Club (Athletes Helping Athletes). He is on the Village of Maple Bluff Building board, the Bethel Lutheran Church Media Ministry board as well as the All-City Swim Meet board of directors. He has been a member of the Madison Downtown Rotary Club and Maple Bluff Country Club for over twenty years. He is also a member of The Madison Club. |
