Overview

At Neckerman Insurance Services, the insurance agent for The Hanover’s Human Services Advantage Program, we know that nonprofit organizations like yours depend heavily upon grants. We also know, as do you, that the competition for the best grants is more intense than ever, given today’s parched economic landscape.

We’d like to help by offering you an opportunity to attend a free 4-hour Grant Writing Workshop conducted by Resource Associates, respected experts with deep experience in helping all types of nonprofits develop grant proposals that are at once technically sound and well targeted.

Speaker

Debbie Oftedal, Graduate of UC Santa Barbara, California

Debbie has worked in the nonprofit arena for over 30 years.  She started assisting a part-time professional fundraiser at Sansum Medical Research Foundation, developing various donor programs, marketing and a volunteer auxiliary for medical research in the areas of cancer and diabetes.  She worked under a multi-million dollar federal grant for five years planning and developing services for infants and families with special needs.  For the past 15 years, Debbie worked as the Executive Director of an adaptive aquatic center that serves over 200 people each day, the majority of whom were diagnosed with disabilities.  Debbie was in charge of human resources, financial management, facility management, fund development (grant writing, fundraising programs), pool and land program development, and marketing.
