We’re experiencing the coldest air of the season in Wisconsin today. And with these temperatures, it’s important to take extra precautions.

It’s possible that the pipes in your home or apartment could freeze, leaving you without water—or worse, your pipes could burst resulting in flooding.

To avoid any problems:

  • Set your heat to 65 degrees or above
  • Periodically run both the hot and cold water throughout the day
  • Set each faucet to trickle warm water
  • Open the cabinet doors below your sinks before you go to sleep
